We did like the location close to the rail station, Good Hotels rooms. Clean, Elevator,
Some of the Female staff acted like they dident like working there. Missing bacon on the breakfast, Payment complications when checking out.
Good location, comfy bed, good shower and free parking.
Noise from the railway line immediately behind the hotel and the breakfast is a bit random, poor layout no flow and 'nowt moist'
It was clean, tidy and service was efficient. It's also very centrally located.
The room was clean and nice. The location was good for my purpose. I liked that the room had a duvet and not only a blanket.
It was not possible to regulate the temperature in the shower properly.
When I booked it it cost £49 for it is the price and would stay more in them for the odd night if all that price
It was convenient for what I wanted.
Both the dining area and bar being located in the same area, along with reception, were very off-putting.
only the location, walk distance form Watford Junction
everything, stuff, I got smoking room evn I hate smoking, the stuff trouble me by phone that they had to make copy of my ID then came to my room to take it of me,very bad English of the stuff,no one was actually British
Facilities were clean and new with no sign of wear or ill usage. It was convenient for the station and taxi rank. The hotel was quiet even with the railway so close.
Parking was limited. The entrance to the hotel was hard to find as it is in a side road and not signposted effectively
could have had wider choice for breakfast
Toilet was not easy to flush. You needed to drop the toilet seat each time you want to flush.
The room (a double) was clean, the bed was especially comfortable and we had no issues from this point of view during our 4 nights stay. The staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was served till 10.30 on weekends, 9.30 on weekdays, and it included basic fare (scrambled eggs, cereals, small bowl of fruit, toast etc). The room rate was very good for London. There's a direct bus from Luton airport to Watford and the ticket it's only 2 pounds/one-way/per person!
The hotel is a bit far from the center of London. I read the previous reviews but was in a hurry and forgot to check the tube and other public transportation maps before making the reservation. So I was under the impression that it wouldn't take more than 30 minutes to get into the city center. In fact, it takes more than an hour (!) if you use the bus (2 pounds/one way) to the nearest tube station and then use the tube (the Bakerloo line) to Oxford Circus/Piccadilly Circus (one-day travelcard, zones 1-6, 7.50 pounds/person, unlimited tube usage for one day). Another way would be to use the Overground but it's 3.50 pounds/1 person/one way and not covered by the one-day travel card so...I would choose something a bit closer, zones 1-6
Close to the station clean and comfortable
No one around to ask around breakfast arrangements
Draft beer out of order. Ordered bottle one which was warm.
Very convenient for the station, clean and comfortable, no frills, and good breakfast choice.
Convenience to train station Included breakfast Modern & clean
Limited parking facilities
